Ok, so there's something else on my mind. I'm sitting here diligently going through my accounting 202 for tomorrow's exam, and I can't get out of my head what happened at dinner today. Ryan came with us to be exposed to my dad's side of the family for the first time ever (as well as meeting my brother, thus confirming his existence), and did the Easter dinner thing at my aunt's house. There were a good...15? of us there, and it's a given that my family will always have a lot of leftovers after a big dinner. Everyone's family has a lot of leftovers after a big holiday meal - I think that's a law. But the salad ran out before it got to me and Ryan - we were salad-less. That's not a huge deal, I know, and once everyone realized it there were jokes all around, but it kind of made me feel like, here's my family, they didn't make enough salad. Like an inadequacy thing.
Then there was everything else, which there was a lot of, and then there was dessert, which there was much too much of. And my grandma was unintentionally hilarious.
So tell me (via comment), am I overreacting about the salad thing?

Yes- you are over-reacting. First, who needs salad on EASTER? Just think of it as, you too had more room than anyone else there to enjoy the REAL base of the meal and dessert.
Second- you two were kind enough to let everyone else get some salad before you. SO only you were left without. Therefore, you shine in your family's eyes for being so self-less and generous.
Good luck in your exam!
